Blind Steeples

Blind steeple is as much of a challenge for the trainer as the pony. The pony is blindfolded, and the trainer must guide the pony thorugh the course, verbally or through sounds.

How you do this is up to you. Here is how I do it..

  • Trainer turns on “show lookat” or “show mouselook crosshairs” (advanced menu)
  • Pony goes into mouselook mode

Now the trainer can see where the pony is pointing (using body position is unreliable)

Now the commands:

I first point the pony where I want them, then have them walk

  • While the pony stands, say “left big” or “left small”, etc to tell them how much you want them to turn
  • When pointed where I want, I will say “approach walk 2 seconds” if I want them to walk without jumping
  • For the jump, I will say “2 seconds, jump”
  • The pony needs to remember to continue walking for about 2 seconds after jumping
  • On this course, the trainer can jump over the hurdle to get to the next one faster if they like

Good luck! Miss Mikky

Tip from beauty for the ponies: Put your mini-map up to help with turns.. for big turns and small turns she has a set amount of turning, to stay consistent.
