This page is dedicated to all those people who made Frilly Filly Farm what it is today. People who’s real lives were a mystery, but who’s virtual lives touched so many in our community.
Batty Bat (Toren Epin)
November 2015 – 3rd October 2025
Batty News Network
Batty was famous for her Batty News. Here is a collection of her news reports.
Memories
She didn’t just live; she fluttered, flapped, and flew with flair. Batty was a burst of midnight laughter, a winged wink in the dark, and a heart that lit up every shadow. Now we gather not to say goodbye, but to cheer her final flight. There’ll be stories, dancing, and maybe a few surprise squeaks. Come celebrate the bat-mare who made mischief magical and every moment a little more Batty.
– Belle K (bea6love)
Batty (Toren Epin) was that one crazy person that every community has. The person in your group who makes everyone laugh, who goofs around and takes life day to day. Within the pony community she was always causing mischief and mayhem. She was best known for her roles as SecondLife’s No 1 Cart thief and the BNN (Batty Network News). Batty spread herself across many pony farms testing her wits against the trainers in her ever more elaborate schemes to steal another cart from under their noses. Her cart thieving antics were legendary and she encouraged others to follow in her footsteps. This extended to issuing certificates to other ponies who successfully stole a cart.
Her regular news updates were an endless source of amusement throughout the pony community, keeping the mood light and easy going with sponsorship from invented organisations such as “Pyro Kevin’s Used Fire Works and Sawdust Factory” or “Crazy Steve’s used flooring emporium” or “Hanks Tanks”. Most news updates would start with the “Break-in News story” where she’d have broken into the broadcast studio in order to bring us the news.
Being FFF’s only Pony Bat she would regularly attend meetings and training courses and hang, upside down, from the ceiling chittering and generally making fun and reminding us that life is not to be taken too seriously.
On a personal note, Batty was the first person I bumped into at FFF and she was responsible for introducing me to Pony Play.
I will truly miss you, my mischievous friend, you will forever have a place in my heart. I’ll never forget you.

Starbright
March 2012 – July 2023
Memories
Starbright started Second Life ponyplay in March of 2012, as one of Safra Nitely’s ponies at DarkWing Stables. She rose to Senior Trainer at FFF, and started PCN (Poneys du Cadre Noir) Pony Ranch, her own stable, just west of FFF at Starland. She died in July 2023.
Starbright (dilekiona): My true motto is ULTREIA but i often use “Improvise, Adapt and Dominate.”
Ultreia is a salute from one pilgrim to another, like the more popular ‘Buen Camino!’. While ‘Buen Camino’ literally means ‘have a good journey, a good Camino’, the meaning of ‘Ultreia!’ goes a bit deeper, implying encouragement to keep going, reaching ‘beyond’, heading onwards.
Josie (josephineCamire)
6th September 2017 – 2nd February 2022
Memories
Josie was a pillar of the community at FFF. She was a kind, dedicated, and selfless Stable Mistress who always did her best for the community. She was also a sweet, gentle ponygirl who loved to please her trainers. Most of all, she was a genuinely thoughtful person who brought joy to those who knew her.
Josie passed away on February 2nd, 2022. It is a loss that will be felt deeply in our community.
Goodbye Josie, I miss you so much. You’ll be in my heart always.
– Ashley
Josie meant so much to everyone who met her, she was one of the most kind and wonder people I ever met. The world just feels a bit more bleak without her…
– Batty (Toren Epin)
Merjeni (mer7maids8)
10th November 2012 – 27th January 2022
Memories
Merjeni (mer7maids8) came to Second Life on November 10, 2012 and passed away suddenly on January 27th, 2022. On April 24th 2013, she became an FFF Thoroughbred.
Merjeni worked tirelessly to train ponies and help lift up others in the community. As a Senior Trainer she always gave the ponies her all, providing both help and discipline. As an FFF Veterinarian, she gave many ponies their physicals and checkups, which the ponies certainly enjoyed. She was also FFF Stable Mistress Betty’s pony.
She was also a Head Trainer at StonesNRubber, a Stable Mistress at Wildfire, and co-owner of Sunstone. She was a pillar of the community.
Sunstone was a passion project for her, creating a beautiful sim for ponies to live and play. She poured that same dedication into Sunstone that she used in other aspects of pony play, building a unique pony stable to share with anyone who visits.
Although she spent much of her time as a stable owner and trainer, she still made time to be a pony on occasion. She loved pulling carts, and she especially enjoyed being a naked pony and feeling the warm sun on her skin. It was always a pleasure training her.
Many of us throughout pony play have been uplifted by Merjeni in one way or another, and she will be missed greatly by us all.

Memories
Pru was in Second life for 1 year 3 months in that time she attended FFF to get her thoroughbred, battling the lag she final made it. She was so proud. She then moved onto being a trainer at FFF. She was well known within the pony girl community.
She was funny determined never gave up, but could be stubborn like a mule.
Such a great loss, she will be dearly missed by all.
Myself, Miss Kira Foxm and the girls prayed everyday for the last four months hoping , but we now have to accept that she is looking down on us from heaven..

Robyn (robynd01)
11/24/2011 – April 2017

Memories
“As you see I am a pony girl. My name is Robyn. I am a Mustang pony Who enjoys her freedom .. Yes SL is SL but you cant say SL does not affect your RL. We make friends, form relationships and fall in love with people who touch our RL hearts-
Avatars have real people behind them, respect each”
NEON (neongreen1 Resident) knew Robyn both SL and RL and she wrote the following tribute to her friend.
About my wonderful friend Robyn.
I don’t know where to start. I met her in both worlds. Mostly here in SL to start with. I don’t know what she seen in me, but she took good care of me
always making sure I was not in trouble. If I was you came and got me out of it. She got me into pony play. Fell in love with it. Found out later
that we were not too far from each other in the RL. We got to know each other little better. Once again she took good care of me.
A little bit about her. Very sweet and loving person. Would help anybody. After all she helped me. She had a passion for wanting to help people.
In her heart all pony. It showed all the time. She introduced me into pony play in the real world and I became her pony. Get off track for a moment,
I think this was the best thing she could have done for me.. It gave me discipline did not have much in my life. Taught me the real meaning
of friendship and of love. In SL she tried very hard to be the best pony there was out there. I remember sometimes he told me about having difficulty
with some of the other people. It bothered her immensely. But due to a friend in SL Mistress Betty. Had faith in her took good care of her. Calmed her down
but I don’t think she was ever the same in SL about pony play. God I miss her much.
She passed away on April 17, 2017 … She was not alone for I was there holding her hand as she slipped away to a better realm.
She was laid to rest on Earth Day April 22, 2017. For viewing she looked wonderful for everybody to see. After we went to seal the coffin. I had to argue with gentlemen
at the funeral home .. For her request which he finally honor. She was put away in all of her pony tack. She wanted this and I made it happen. There is so much more I could say
but having a problem doing so. Too many memories too many tears.
Please remember my pony girl Robyn
Keep her spirit alive in all your memory
She is in a better place. With her mistress.
God bless all… Neon green. Forever her pony
Siona Farina
Siona Farina 27th September 2007 – 17th May 2015
Celerian Tigerpaw 27th November 2007 – 17th May 2015
Memories
Where to begin…
Siona was always very bubbly and in a good mood. Quick to help a pony if they needed something, and full of hugs and joy.
My former Mistress and I used to spend a lot of time together.
Siona loved the steeple and slalom, and was one of the most beautiful people I had the privilege to know in secondlife. She also helped developed the Latex Dolls of Latexia’s ponygirl program, along with Roxxie.
I truly miss her, and she is a loss to the pony community…I was very saddened when I came across her memorial a couple of years back, and even as I write this, it’s raining inside.
I miss, and love you, Siona.
Lysa.
Sid Woodget
14th January 2013 – ???

Memories
Sid Woodget first came to Second Life on January 14, 2013. He started training ponies at Frilly Filly Farm two years after his RL horse had to be put down, hoping that working here would help him deal with his loss.
– Button Wright
It’s hard to put into words who Sid was, He was a mentor , a friend, and there when you needed him. Sid took me under his wing and taught me everything he knew. I miss him so much, I hope where ever you are Sid that you know I miss you. I wish you were still here; you had so much to teach I just hope you inspire the next generation of trainers as much as you have inspired me.

Marlene was one of the nicest people i ever met. She was a pony and trainer both in sl and in rl. She would help anyone no matter what, with training, with pulling a cart, even with funds to get tack if a new pony couldn’t afford anything. She visited FFF frequently, always with a kind word or a shoulder to lean on.i will miss you always Marlene, my friend, my sister and my family.

Jo Gallindo
09/07/2006 – 05/17/2015 – August 2012
Memories
Jo Gallindo came to Frilly Filly Farm like so many of us do, eager to be a good ponygirl.
She loved to jump and she trained hard.
Steeplechase was always her favorite.
In the 2008 Pony Olympics at Naughty Angels she came in third and was so proud of herself.
Her owner Sandy Strabel together with Lexi Lock and Sha Babii
built the first two really unique steeplechases in Second Life for FFF.
Those two early sets of jumps brought the steeplechase community here
and started the development of uniquely landscaped jumps.
Jo and Safra recreated the jumps from one of those early FFF steeplechases on Safra’s land
in Oraenji just west of our main steeplechase and you can use them today.
FFF’s two main steeplechases were developed by Jo
as well as many of the ones in FFF’s Skyfield.
She was especially proud of her Trailer Park steeples that are going to be used today for a competition.
Jo made the transition from ponygirl to trainer,
and found she loved to encourage new ponies and help them discover their proud equine heart.
Then as my SL partner she started help run the stable.
We married in the Japan House in July 2009.
I don’t think FFF would be here today if I didn’t have Jo’s emotional support these last three years.
It certainly would not be the great stable you all know.
It was Jo who helped to develop the Skyfield, the steeples,
and the training programs that draw so many people to our stable.
Miss Faye our founder is so amazed at what Jo’s efforts have done to her original dream.
As Jo helped develop FFF here in Second Life, her real life was not doing as well.
She had type 1 diabetes,
and since she lost her job in 2010,
it has been increasingly hard to control.
Unemployment and chronic illness made Jo moody and temperamental at times.
She used her free time in Second Life to help others,
not only here in the pony community, but in the Latex Dolls and Cheerleader communities.
She became a designer and started a shop where she sold skin and clothing.
In July she told me her doctor gave her two months to live.
The next month she was dead.
Fortunately, she helped build FFF into a stable with a structure that can survive her death.
I always said that FFF was different because it was membership owned.
Each and every one of us, when we join Tortured Dreams, become a part-owner of this wonderful stable.
By donating what you can, be it Linden dollars to pay the tier,
by training others in what you have learned,
or by helping to manage this large and complex facility,
you all keep this dream alive.
Today FFF has a group of stable mistresses, skilled trainers and helpful ponies
who will keep FFF going into the future.
Around the farm you will find horse monuments that honor major contributors to FFF.
Some have died and others have just moved on to greener pastures.
This month I added one for Jo that overlooks the steeplechase she loved so much.
It is near a rose trellis and gazebo that was one of her favorite places at FFF.
The true memorial to Jo is in how she touched the lives of so many.
I will always miss her.

Alicia Delphin
9th November 2006 – 1st May 2010

“I’m a horse trainer in real life, and I can’t change what I am so I train ponies here in SL as well. If you are interested in becoming a ponygirl, please visit AliKat Stables or ask me… Proud owner of my ponies Maike Dibou, Poni Lykin, Stella Leven, tish Celt, and Mortissa Paine
More than anything…proud to be partnered to the best thing to happen to me…WhiteSatin Sands.”
Memories
Hello.
I would like to tell you a little story.
A couple months after I started as a ponygirl trainer at Frilly Filly Farms, a woman walked into our shop and started buying every kind of pony training equipment we had.
I asked her what she planned to do with it all.
She said she and her partner were opening a ponygirl stable.
She had a stable in real life where she trained both horses and ponygirls, and she was going to bring her skills to the Second Life community.
That was my first encounter with Alicia Delphin.
The stable was AliKat.
At the time there were a few major stables in SL and a tight community structured through the SL Pongirls Club.
Alicia soon became one of the leaders of this community, and AliKat the best place to train.
Her book, Second Life Pony Play Manual, is the bible of our community.
I keep a copy open in the FFF barn for all to read.
Today, as we gather to remember Alicia, it is like an era is ending.
But not really.
Alicia poured her knowledge and wisdom into her book and has left it here to guide us.
It is one way that we will always have Alicia with us.
Now that Alicia is gone, we who knew her will always have an empty place in our hearts.
But we have each other, and Alicia would want us to continue her work.
— Button wright, FFF stable Mistress
Kathryn Jackson
8th October 2004 – 26th July 2007

Memories
Kathryn died in July 2007. Up until that time she had been paying the farm’s monthly tier, keeping FFF open and letting us not worry about the financial part of running a sim in SL. She was a designer and donated the proceeds from her sales to FFF. She was our silent partner, our patron, our support.
Nicci (nicolwii)

Memories
Nicci was an awesome and amazing trainer/ pony.. I worked with her,Mistress Muse, and Josie back when Tiny ranch for ponies was still around. We would go carting around the fields. and not a day goes by that I don’t think back on those wonderful days. I miss you Nicci.
– Squeak Toy

I have been in Sl a long(ish) time and these memorials are what give SL depth and meaning. So sad so see those who have gone but knowing we live in a continuing virtual community is awesome
